Using Dr Atlas

Dr Atlas is for adults — healthcare professionals, students, researchers, and anyone seeking medical information. It is a literature and evidence tool, not medical advice. Do not use it for emergencies.

By using the app, you agree to these terms. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement governs the app license unless a different license is supplied through the App Store; these terms describe the Dr Atlas service.

Research support and medical decisions

Answers are AI-generated summaries informed by medical literature and web search. They may be inaccurate, outdated, incomplete, or accompanied by incorrect or irrelevant citations. Check claims and citations against their original sources before relying on them.

Dr Atlas does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment recommendations, emergency care, or a clinician–patient relationship. It is not a medical device or a replacement for advice from a qualified healthcare professional. If you use the app in a professional capacity, you remain responsible for clinical decisions, independent assessment, and your professional obligations. Do not use the app to manage a medical emergency.

Information you submit

Do not enter information that identifies other people — a patient's name, date of birth, record number, or a face in a photo. Anonymise reports and images before attaching.

You must have the rights and appropriate legal basis to submit information and comply with any professional confidentiality duties that apply to you.

Questions, conversation context, and attachments are processed by third-party AI and search services. After acceptance of the relevant usage notice, questions, answers, and feedback are stored for quality review. The App Privacy Policy explains processing, retention, and choices. These terms do not replace any separate consent required for processing.

Acceptable use

Use the app lawfully for medical information, learning, or research. Do not harm others, infringe rights, submit information that identifies other people, bypass access or payment controls, interfere with the service, or introduce malicious content. Do not use automated access or scraping to collect answers, resell the service or its answers, or reverse engineer the app except where applicable law expressly permits it.

Content and third-party sources

The Dr Atlas app, branding, and original interface materials belong to the provider or its licensors. Article titles, abstracts, images, figures, and other third-party content remain subject to their owners' rights. Material retrieved from PubMed, Europe PMC, PubMed Central, and publishers is governed by the applicable source licenses. Keep displayed attribution and check the source license before reuse.

AI answers are not guaranteed to be original or exclusive. Exporting an answer does not grant rights to redistribute third-party material beyond its license. Source websites have their own terms and privacy policies.

Free access and Pro subscriptions

The app offers one free question when free access is available. A local keychain flag records its use and can survive reinstalling. Further access requires Pro. Plans include auto-renewing Pro Weekly and Pro Monthly subscriptions. Current prices, billing periods, and any offer conditions appear in the app before purchase.

Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account subscription settings. Removing the app or using “Delete All Data” does not cancel a subscription.

Apple handles billing and refund requests under its policies and applicable law. See Apple's instructions for cancelling a subscription and requesting a refund. Nothing in these terms removes mandatory consumer rights.

Availability and ending use

Online features need an internet connection. You are responsible for your device and network charges. Models, sources, features, and availability may change. We may perform maintenance, pause a feature, require an update, or discontinue the service, subject to applicable law and rights attached to paid subscriptions.

We may restrict access when necessary to address misuse, security issues, or legal requirements. You may stop using the app at any time. Subscription cancellation and data deletion are separate actions, explained above and in the App Privacy Policy.

Warranties and liability

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without a guarantee of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. To the extent permitted by law, the provider is not liable for losses caused by reliance on an AI answer without independent verification or use contrary to these terms. Nothing excludes or limits liability, warranties, remedies, or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Governing law and updates

These service terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, subject to mandatory laws and rights that apply where you live. Disputes may be brought before courts with jurisdiction under applicable law. This does not remove mandatory consumer or data-protection rights, or rights to use a court or authority available to you under those laws. Apple's license has its own governing provisions.

We may update these terms and their effective date. Material changes will be communicated where required; legally required consent or acceptance will be obtained separately. Contact contact@askdratlas.com with questions.
