Our approach
Clarity includes
the caveats.
An answer is more useful when you can understand where it came from—and what it leaves uncertain.
How these pages are prepared
The saved answers on this site were written using AI, with linked research and public health guidance consulted during preparation. They are summaries of selected sources. They are not systematic reviews and do not claim to include every relevant study.
AI can make mistakes, including misreading evidence or missing context. These pages have not been independently reviewed by a qualified medical professional. That status is displayed on each answer.
What the citations mean
Numbered links point to the research or guidance supporting a statement. We distinguish controlled trials, observational research, and public health recommendations, and describe important limitations. An association in a study is not automatically evidence of cause and effect.
Linked sources remain independent of Dr Atlas. A citation does not imply that a researcher, journal, or public health organization endorses this website or the app.
Dates and corrections
Each answer records when it was prepared. If its content is revised, its update date will change. Pages are not monitored continuously, so newly published evidence or changes to guidance may not yet be reflected.
Use this as a starting point
The content is for general education. It cannot assess your symptoms, medical history, medicines, or personal circumstances. Do not use it to diagnose yourself or to start, stop, or change treatment. A qualified clinician or pharmacist can help apply information to your situation.
If you think you may have a medical emergency, contact your local emergency service. This website and the app are not emergency services.
How the website supports the app
Saved answers are free to read without an account. Links invite readers to download Dr Atlas from Apple’s App Store. The app is free to download and offers in-app purchases; this site does not take payments.
